Returned to session <br /> 9. FACILITIES —A. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING JANITORIAL <br /> CONTRACT — Loren Humphrey and Dan Beckmann with BMI were present to address <br /> the issues with the janitorial contract. The board expressed concern that the buildings <br /> have not been cleaned. <br /> Mr. Beckmann apologized for the issues ad said he is confident that they can do this. <br /> Quandt said this has not happened so far. <br /> Mr. Beckman said he will go over this with the staff and also have the regional manager <br /> involved and have this addressed by Thursday. <br /> Quandt expressed concern this has not happened since July 1st and also questioned if <br /> the people are his employees and Mr. Beckmann said they are. <br /> Peterson ask why there have been so many problems. Mr. Beckmann stated with the <br /> smaller package it cut the budget close and they are trying to make it work but it will be <br /> more of a challenge. <br /> Quandt expressed concern that they need to be more efficient, it has not worked since <br /> July 1. He noted that the county staff had to scrub the steps this morning. This will need <br /> to be discussed in executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated that the board will hold discussion on the contract in executive session <br /> and Mr. Humphrey will be included. She said they the board will make a decision today <br /> and contact Mr. Beckmann. Quant agreed they will make a decision today. <br /> FACILITIES UPDATE — Loren reported that there will be a meeting with the city <br /> regarding the Airport Sewer project today. He noted that as they build the sewer lines <br /> they do the dewatering. He also noted the pump station is down 300 feet. There were <br /> some concerns expressed regarding the sewer project and the airport parking lot. <br /> He reported that they are doing daily work at the park and his staff has been doing <br /> some of the custodial work in the building where they do not clean. They have also <br /> been filling the toilet paper and the paper towels and have scrubbed the floors He also <br /> noted that he has not seen the custodial company have any cleaning chemicals. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Richardson seconded to go into executive session <br /> regarding the following. <br /> 9 A) EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING JANITORIAL CONTRACT <br /> 15 A) EXECUTIVE SESSION A) WILLIAM SAXTON TORT CLAIM <br /> 8 <br />
