Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the Public Defender Data <br /> Software contract and authorize the chair to sign. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 5. UPDATE ON NEW COUNTYWIDE HANDBOOK & IMPLEMENTATION DATE — <br /> Sarah stated that she met with all of the departments regarding the revised handbook <br /> and there were a lot of questions and input from the elected and appointed officials. <br /> She has also met with Sheriff Conrad and Theresa and Todd Bahensky for additional <br /> input. She is trying to schedule a date to meet with the Sheriff, Corrections and the <br /> Clerk's office to review the proposed changes. Some of the changes are to make <br /> wording consistent like addressing days and hours a day could 7 1/2 hours or 10 hours <br /> and it needs to be uniform. She also talked to Pam Bourne regarding the confidentially <br /> policy that was taken out of the handbook. There is a meeting scheduled for August 22, <br /> 2022 at 9:30 am. To go over all of the changes. <br /> Bredthauer stated this is important and is glad to see it moving forward. <br /> 10.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING THE HALL COUNTY BUILDING <br /> INSPECTOR TAKING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS Lancaster stated that when she was <br /> doing the inventory with the Building inspector Denise Kozel she ask if it would be <br /> possible to authorize them to take credit card payments instead of cash or checks. It <br /> would be a way to make business easier for out of town contractors and they would be <br /> able to keep track of the payments. Ron said the service charge for using the credit <br /> card will be assessed to the card holder. Denise contacted Kayla said they would need <br /> a resolution to approve this. BID OPENING FOR TIRES — County Clerk stated <br /> that she only received one bid. Don Robb stated that the state requires 3 bids and if <br /> there are not 3 bids received then they are to be reject the one bid and request 3 <br /> informal bids. Discussion was held. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Sorensen to reject the bids and return the unopened bid <br /> and authorize the public works director request informal bids.
