1', >c 12 <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Finance Committee <br /> May Financials: Mr. Maser reported. Finance committee met prior to board meeting and approved the <br /> check register and reviewed the financials. The Foundation will be reimbursing the museum for the loss <br /> of funds for the end of the 2022 fiscal year. One abnormality in exhibit expenditures, this was for the art <br /> shows. Mr. Maser stated that a lot of our over expenditures are partly due to inflation. Reports will be <br /> filed. <br /> 2022-2023 Budget Proposal <br /> Mr. Maser referred the board to the submitted 2022-2022 Budget Proposal. Motion to approve the <br /> budget was made by Mr. Maser, contingent on full County support, after Hall County Commissioners <br /> Board budget vote. Mr. Marsh seconded the motion. Motion carried with contingency. <br /> Buildings and Grounds Committee <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. The Buildings and Grounds Committee did not meet for the month of <br /> June. The new cants for the log cabin have been installed. Multiple structures are being repaired and <br /> painted. Taylor House will be painted starting the beginning of July. The museum is waiting on the <br /> building permit to move forward for further construction inside the house. <br /> Education Committee <br /> Mrs. Emily Byerly, new Director of Education, introduced herself to the board. The Education <br /> Committee last held a meeting on May 19th, 2022, they did not meet for June. <br /> Collections Committee <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. The Collections Committee held a meeting on June 21st, 2022. <br /> The Committee reviewed 995 items for deaccession; 195 for transfer, 133 to destroy, 655 for auction <br /> and twelve to keep. See list on the Deaccession Proposal form in board packet. The Collections <br /> Committee made the motion, Mrs. Ann Martin seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> FOUNDATION REPORT <br /> Mrs. Cook invited the board to the Farm to Table event on September 24th, 2022. Mrs. Smith briefly <br /> reviewed the submitted report over the phone. Mrs. Smith invited the board to the next donor <br /> engagement event, consisting of a BBQ, music, and period games on Friday, August 5th, 2022, as well as <br /> the Rural School Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, August 6th, 2022. <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Hochstetler referred the board to his written report. Mr. Hochstetler stated that he will be presenting <br /> to the County Commissioners Board on July 20th. He also mentioned to the board that the July 4th <br /> celebration at the Museum will be free thanks to funding from the Greater Grand Island Community <br /> Foundation. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Ms. Nolan Brown adjourned meeting at 4:08 p.m. <br /> Next meeting, fourth Monday, July 25, 2022, at 3 p.m. —Finance Committee at 2:15 p.m. <br /> Respectfully recorded by Jennifer Sims, Events & Volunteer Coord., and recorder. <br />
