Lancaster made a motion and Sorensen seconded to direct Mr. Humphrey to purchase <br /> the entire list of furniture from Primark. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peteson, <br /> Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried <br /> FACILITIES UPDATE - MR. Humphrey stated that Honeywell stopped and toured the <br /> Administration Building and looked at the HVAC system. Discussion was held to have <br /> an engineer come in and look at the HAVAC. The projected cost could be $1 to $11/2 <br /> million. This would have to go out for bids. <br /> Loren stated there has been a request to store large quantiles of paper and there was <br /> some discussion regarding building a storage building. He is bring this to the board for <br /> consideration. Buying large amounts of paper, toilet paper and other supplies could <br /> save costs. Just something to think about. <br /> Lancaster said it is good to consider large supplies as long as we can find a spot that is <br /> temperature controlled. She noted when they build extra camping spots it brought in <br /> more revenue. She suggested finding a place to store this but not building a new <br /> building. <br /> Richardson ask what is in the old health department building. Loren said they store <br /> supplies and some smaller equipment there it is not full but is not heated or cooled. <br /> There are rooms in the basement of the annex building. It was noted that then building <br /> & grounds would have to deliver the supplies but Loren said they already do that. <br /> DISCUSSION REGARDING THE JANITORIAL CLEANING — Loren said the issues <br /> seem to have slowed down and they are doing a better job. He said he does spot <br /> check to see if anything is missed and so far they have responded to the issues. <br /> Quandt expressed concern that an office is closing to do the cleaning and some are not <br /> happy about the changes this needs to be on an agenda to discuss this. <br /> 10:40 A.M. held the Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 11:08 A.M. Recessed the Board of Correction meeting for the quarterly jail tour. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO SEND LETTER TO STATE OF NEBRASKA <br /> REGARDING TRI & LAKE STREET this was discussed at the budget meeting when <br /> Chad Nabity was here and the board was to send a letter to the City but there also <br /> needs to be a letter sent to the Nebraska Department Roads. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Richardson seconded to send a letter to the Nebraska <br /> Department of Roads regarding the Tri Street and Lake Street issues.
