Motion carried. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve 17b the Special <br /> Designated liquor license for Balz for a wedding reception on September 24, 2022. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Peterson was absent because of illness. Richardson abstained. Motion carried. <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:20a.m. recessed the Board of Equalization meeting until 10:30 a.m. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Vice Chair Hurst called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5a COUNTY ATTORNEY —A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE <br /> CHAIR TO SIGN OFFICE OF VIOLENCE PREVENTION SPECIAL SOLICITATION <br /> GRANT APPLICATION FOR JDAI COORDINATOR'S POSITION FOR $91,000 — <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen said that Randy See and Robyn Hassel are <br /> working on this grant seeking grant resources for the JDAI coordinator. Some of the <br /> efforts for this positions will be to find alternative practices and to keep kids in school <br /> and in their community. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the chair to sign the <br /> grant application. Karen noted that this requires electronic signatures. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Peterson was absent. Motion carried. <br /> C) COUNTY ATTORNEY HANDBOOK UPDATE - Sarah Carstensen stated that the <br /> draft of the handbook was distributed to all of the department head and they met June <br /> 13 to discuss the proposed handbook. She ask departments to submit questions to her <br /> y July 6 and from there they will meet again with a smaller group and put together <br /> language regarding the changes then present it to the county board. <br /> 5 D) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PUBLIC DEFENDER <br /> SOFTWARE (EXECUTIVE SESSION) — Sarah stated this will be held I executive <br /> session later in the meeting. <br /> 11. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION FOR PER MILE REIMBURSEMENT FOR <br /> USE OF A PERSONAL VEHICLE OR MOTORCYCLE - Lancaster said this refers to the <br /> IT Department, they had expressed concern that they use their personal vehicles. They <br /> are constantly moving from one building to another and they do not have a county <br /> vehicle to use and actually one vehicle would not work. They are proposing to keep <br /> 2 <br />
