Pdge <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Finance Committee <br /> April Financials: Mr. Maser reported. Finance committee met prior to board meeting and <br /> approved the check register and reviewed the financials. No anomalies reported. Admissions are <br /> at an all-time high for the museum. Education income is on an upward trajectory. Expenditures <br /> are up from the past year due to inflation. There is a Joint Finance Committee coming up, to <br /> discuss the budget for the new fiscal year. Contryman will not be doing the audit this upcoming <br /> year. The Museum and Foundation will be looking for another company to complete the annual <br /> audit. Discussion was had about the audit for this year. Reports will be filed. <br /> Buildings and Grounds Committee <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. Buildings and Grounds Committee held a meeting on April 7th <br /> There have been some estimates for the drywall and exterior painting, but no bids have been <br /> given. Colors for the Taylor House have been decided, which will be similar to the original <br /> colors from 1903. Maintenance has been finishing the new trim for Taylor house. The <br /> Glaciarium has been painted. The Lesher house is being scraped and painted. The cants have <br /> been replaced in the log cabins. The board had discussion on building painting in Railroad <br /> Town. <br /> Education Committee <br /> Dr. Dexter reported. The Education Committee held a meeting on May 19th. The last HATS class <br /> of the season was on Tuesday, May 17th. The committee approved the price changes for HATS <br /> classes. Mr. Hochstetler announced that Ms. Carly Cremers will be resigning from her position <br /> as Director of Education. She also announced that Mrs. Emily Byerly has accepted the position <br /> of Director of Education. Mrs. Byerly has been involved at Stuhr Museum since she was 12 <br /> years old as a Living History Apprentice. <br /> Collections Committee <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. The Collections Committee held a meeting on May loth. <br /> The Committee reviewed 878 items for deaccession; 178 for transfer, 137 to destroy, 410 for <br /> auction and 153 to keep. Refer to the Deaccession Proposal form in board packet. The <br /> Collections Committee made the motion to approve the deaccession list as presented, Mr. Allen <br /> seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Hochstetler referred the board to his written report. Mr. Hochstetler announced that the <br /> museum has decide to dismiss Ms. Kari Stofer as Curator. As of today, Mr. Robb Nelson <br /> accepted the position of Curator. <br /> FOUNDATION REPORT <br /> Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Smith briefly reviewed the Foundation's submitted report over the phone. <br /> Mrs. Smith invited the board to the donor engagement event on Saturday, June 4th, at 6:30pm. <br /> She also invited the board to sign up to volunteer for the Farm to Table event. <br />
