Page 12 Buildings and Grounds Committee Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. The Buildings and Grounds Committee met on March 26th, 2022, and April 7th, 2022. The museum experienced damage due to high windstorms in the month of April. The corn crib at the Cleary Farmstead blew down and was hauled away. There will be a meeting to discuss how the loss of this building impact the museum's daily operations. New steps to the Immanuel Lutheran Church were built by an Eagle Scout, it was the first female Eagle Scout in the district to complete a project. Education Committee Dr. Dexter reported. The Education Committee held a meeting on March 10th, 2022, and April 14th, 2022. Online HATS classes are being discussed further. The committee is working on a new name for HATS. Collections Committee Mr. Deitemeyer gave the report. The Collections Committee held a meeting on March 8th, 2022, and April 12th, 2022. The Committee reviewed 921 items for deaccession; 189 for transfer, 85 to destroy, 472 for auction and 161 to keep. See list on the Deaccession Proposal form in board packet. The Collections Committee made the motion, Mr. Maser seconded the motion. Motion carried. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS Mr. Hochstetler referred the board to his written report. FOUNDATION REPORT Mrs. Smith briefly reviewed her written report. Go Big Give will be coming up soon, Mrs. Smith asked the board to sign up to donate at certain times to qualify the Foundation to receive additional prizes. STRATEGIC PLAN REPORT AND DISCUSSION Discussion on Initiative 1.D, in the Strategic Plan was tabled until next meeting due to lack of time.
