Page I 1 <br /> HALL COUNTY MUSEUM BOARD <br /> The scheduled meeting of the Hall County Museum Board was held on Monday, April 25, 2022, in the <br /> Edgar&Frances Reynolds Research Center, Stuhr Museum. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice-President Mr. Don Deitemeyer called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m. <br /> Attending the meeting were Trustees: Mr. Don Deitemeyer, Dr. Robin Dexter, Mr. Mark Allen, Mrs. <br /> Ann Martin, Mr. Tom Gdowski, Mr. Matthew Maser, and Mr. Andy Marsh. Hall County Board <br /> Commissioner, Mrs. Jane Richardson. Foundation: Mrs. Bonnie Smith, Foundation Executive Director. <br /> Museum staff attending the meeting included: Mr. Chris Hochstetler, Executive Director, Mrs. Renae <br /> Hunt, Business Operations Director, Mr. Tom Oshlo, Director of Facility and Grounds, Ms. Kari Stofer, <br /> Curator, Mrs. Rebecca Matticks, Director of Research, Ms. Carly Cremers, Director of Education, Mrs. <br /> Karen Hurst, Director of Marketing, and Mrs. Jennifer Sims, Events, Volunteer, and Membership <br /> Manager. Absent Trustees: Ms. Kris Nolan Brown. <br /> NEBRASKA OPEN MEETINGS ACT REQUIREMENTS <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer stated as required by law, a copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act is available for <br /> members of the public to review. <br /> REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE BOARD <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer asked if anyone wished to address the Board, and no one responded. <br /> CONFLICT OF INTEREST ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer asked if anyone had a conflict of interest with any of the agenda items. No responses. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion to accept the minutes from the March 28, 2022, meeting was made by Mr. Allen and seconded <br /> by Dr. Dexter. Minutes were approved and will be filed. <br /> HALL COUNTY BOARD LIAISON COMMUNICATION <br /> Mrs. Richardson reported the highlights of the County Board meetings. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Sewer for Taylor to connect to city <br /> Mr. Deitemeyer presented. The Building and Grounds Committee proposes that the museum moves <br /> forward on connecting to the city's sewer system due to the growing number of visitors. This is <br /> estimated at $83,400. Mr. Tom Gdowski made the motion to move forward in connecting to city sewer, <br /> Mrs. Martin seconded. Some questions and discussion on validity and accessibility. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Finance Committee <br /> March Financials: Mr. Maser presented. The committee has been working on the budget for the next <br /> fiscal year. There will be a Joint Finance Committee this week to discuss the budget. At the next board <br /> meeting there will be discussion about the outcomes from this meeting. The museum raised admission <br /> rates to combat inflation. When creating the new budget there will be discussion about how to avoid <br /> further deficit. Reports will be filed. <br />
