14b DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING FINANCING FOR 3 <br /> ADDITIONAL MOTOR GRADERS — Peterson stated this will be addressed at budget <br /> time. <br /> Held a 5 minute beak. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Bredthauer reported that she <br /> attended the Region 3 meeting and they received additional funding. They currently <br /> have in place a contact that will help bridge mental health services. <br /> She also reported that Don Robb gave a presentation on the 1 & 6 Road program to <br /> Regional Planning and did a good job and provided a very informative packet. She <br /> attended the Emergency Management meeting and they are seeking more employees. <br /> Sorensen reported that Don Robb is at the Highway Superintendents meetings. Things <br /> are going smoothly. They have started working on the culverts in town. Gary Smith <br /> constructions has started on the Gunbarrel Road project and they should be receiving <br /> the first invoice. The department currently has 4 machines down. They did take <br /> pictures of the clam shell for the crane that was sold and will be putting it on the auction. <br /> They are proposing to start using an inspection sheet on the machinery to have <br /> employees be more responsible for the equipment. They did order 2 loads of salt <br /> because it will cost higher because of transportation costs. They have also filled up the <br /> diesel and gas tanks. <br /> Lancaster noted that Jane requested the budget from Senior Citizens, they have 3 <br /> different budgets. She noted that they were closed and opened in June and stated <br /> Dana can explain this. She also noted that they will be short about $82,000.00 they do <br /> provide expenditure information for the $70,000 that they receive. What they receive <br /> from MAAA is a flat amount and noted that the donations they receive do not cover the <br /> shortfall. Doniphan receives more donations than Hall County. Wood River currently <br /> has the new day care and they manage the Wood River program and some of it is <br /> absorb by the city budget. <br /> Sorensen noted that at the MAAA meeting discussion was held to have Wood River <br /> start up their own entity similar to the Grand Generation Center they would get paid a <br /> lower rate per meal but would be able to keep the donations. <br /> Lancaster noted that the Grand Generation center asks for $5.00 donation but they <br /> receive donations of about $2.34. She noted that Dana sent an E mail thanking the <br /> board for the support. <br /> Sorensen reported that MAAA has hired a new firm to handle their retirement funds. <br /> 8 <br />
