Motion carried. <br /> Sorensen stated that Mr. .Marvin Welty was present with the petition was signed by 35 <br /> to 40 people. Some lived on Route 5 expressing their dissatisfaction with the condition <br /> of the county roads nd concerns on the operator. They expressed concern on the <br /> drainage, grading and the washboards causing deterioration of the roads. They are <br /> asking for a different operator or improving the road conditions. Sorensen noted that <br /> part of it is in the Village of Cairo and some of the roads have been neglected by the <br /> prior administration. The county has a new director in place to get this resolved. <br /> Mr. Robb stated he has discussed this and one of the main roads is sand based and it <br /> was dry and rough Loup River Road from 30th to Highway 11 needs to be clay topped <br /> and mix in grave to get a better base. They did pull in the berms because the <br /> shoulders were higher than the road they estimated about 150 roads they have been <br /> working on the road, Don said they have talked to the blade operators and to make <br /> sure they know how to work on the road . They did put an extension on one of the <br /> graders to help eliminate the ripples. The roads were dry and they were struggling with <br /> that. <br /> Mr. Welty lives on 130th and he ask the board to drive this road he has a new vehicle <br /> and it is rough.
