GIPS hires the employees that is the way the program is designed. . They struggle to cover all of the expenses. Motion carried. 5.9:30 a.m. REGIONAL PLANNING — PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER RE- ADOPTION OF THE HALL COUNTY ZONING RESOLUTION WITH CHANGES — Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. Regional Planning Director Chad Nabity stated he started going through the plan some time ago and there are a number of changes and he also noted the flood plain section has been removed and it was replaced with the current ordinance regarding the flood plain with that they will now will be in compliance with the new regulations There were also changes that were made and adopted in 2004 and changes in 2018. He also changed all reference to the Board of Supervisors to now read Board of Commissioners. The definition of home occupation changed, they went back to 2004 thought that is what was in there and there were also a couple of changes to the buildings so they can be closer to the property lines. So it will be the same as the city and smaller communities. The regulations need to be the same. The Planning Commission has worked on this and have been informed on the changes.
