Peterson noted there are 3 executive session to be addressed. Peterson stated there <br /> are 2 reasons for an executive session to protect the public interest or to prevent <br /> needless harm or injury to an individual. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Richardson seconded to go into executive session. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no Motion carried <br /> 20. EXECUTIVE SESSION — PUBLIC DEFENDER — PERSONNEL <br /> Held executive session from 11:43 a.m. to 11:52 a.m. <br /> 7. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE & AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO <br /> SIGN THE PUBLIC WORKS UNION AGREEMENT <br /> Held executive session from 11:52 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR ROAD <br /> EMPLOYEES FOR CLASSES REGARDING LICENSES AND EDUCATION <br /> Held executive session from 11:59 a.m. to 12:11 pm. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Peterson stted that there were no other subjects discussed, no votes were taken and no <br /> action was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Chair Peterson called for an action from the executive session <br /> 7. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE & AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN THE <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UNION AGREEMENT Sorensen made a motion and Quandt seconded to <br /> approve and sign the Public Works Union Agreement. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PUBLIC DEFENDER <br /> PERSONNEL - Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to hire a temporary par <br /> time employee for the public defender. Lancaster amended her motion and Quandt <br /> seconded to hire temporary full time employee and they are not to receive health <br /> insurance benefits. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> There was no other action to be taken <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS — Bredthauer noted that on April 26th <br /> the public hearing for the adoption of the zoning regulations will be held so they can be <br /> included in the new comprehensive plan. There have been changes and these need to <br /> be part of the new plan. <br /> 12 <br />
