Quandt stted he does not have a problem with the lettering but expressed concern on <br /> the graphics and ask it they were necessary and he is not in favor of that. <br /> Bredthauer suggested to just enhance the sign that is on the building and she is not in <br /> favor of all the graphics. <br /> Lancaster suggested using the County Seal it show up nicely. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to deny the proposed signage at <br /> $2,129.0 and comeback with other lettering. . Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> B) FACILITIES UPDATE — Mr. Humphrey stated that he has not started on the parking <br /> lot because the company that locates all of the service lines is running behind. He <br /> hopes to get started this week. <br /> C) CRNA UPDATE — Mr. Humphrey stated that there will be some road closings on <br /> Abbott Road to start the dewatering project at the airport and part of Sky Park Road will <br /> also be closed. They will do a press release when those closing will be scheduled. <br /> There will also be several closing on minor roads but those will be from Thursdays to <br /> Saturdays and some will be closed for an hour to run the pipes under the roads. <br /> Sorensen stted they have started drilling the wells and there will be a big pipe to divert <br /> the water down Academy Road. Mr. Humphrey stated that work on Sky Park Road will <br /> not be for 2 or 3 months. <br /> Quandt expressed concern that with the Kearney Airport issues more people may be <br /> flying out of Grand Island and this will be discussed by the City Council. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated they cancelled the construction meeting for today it will be in 2 <br /> weeks. <br /> 6.9:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FOR RENEWAL FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br /> BNSF RAILWAY COMPANY - Quandt made a motion and Sorensen seconded to open the <br /> public hearing. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all <br /> voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated this is a renewal for a microwave tower for BNSF railroad to handle rail <br /> traffic. He did have one call and they ask what it was for and they stated they did not have any <br /> problem with the tower.
