FACILITIES UPDATE - Mr. Humprey stated that there were 25 to 30 people regarding a <br /> meeting on the Airport sewer system the Utility Department, Engineering Department <br /> and Street Department there will be an intersection that will be torn up during the <br /> dewatering process. They expect the project to be done in 4 months. <br /> Loren stated that competed the last room in the Annex Building. <br /> Update on Judge Corey's bench they hope to have this completed in 2 weeks the <br /> project is moving forward. <br /> Mr. Humphrey also reported that the elevator in the Courthouse went down and they <br /> were able to find used parts in Kearney for the repairs. There was a concern regarding <br /> ordering parts and how long it would take to get them. They hope to have the elevator <br /> going by today. <br /> He reported that they did receive 5 application for the job openings at his department <br /> but he will need to fill 2 positions. He also reported that the county park employee will <br /> also be retiring he first of March. <br /> Lancaster also noted that today we are glad to see 5 applications. She also said that <br /> personal contacts and multiple contacts are the key to encourage people to submit <br /> applications. <br /> Sorensen noted that they were finally able to fil the equipment operator position. <br /> Chair Peterson ask if Sarah Carstensen ha any items and she stated she did not <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS Bredthauer stated she attended the <br /> NRD meeting and the Planning Commission meeting they discussed the Greely Howard <br /> Subdivision and also stated the Super Bowl will be a new TIF project. The Extension <br /> office has used 79% of their utility budget. <br /> Lancaster stated the audit committee met regarding the ADP payroll processing and are <br /> looking for some solutions. She noted that Jon Rosenlund had a file on one of the <br /> islands by Bosselmans and could not get to it but they used a crop duster to put out the <br /> fire. She is working on the new deferred compensation pan from the state and at the <br /> end of the month it will be the last payroll deduction and then will proceed with the <br /> request to join the state deferred compensation plan. <br /> Richardson reported that the attendance at Stuhr is up 300% and the ice skating <br /> revenue was up. There will also be the humane society Fur Ball March 12. <br /> Peterson stated that he spoke at the State of the City Address along with Mayor Steel <br /> and a representative from the Community College addressing engaging younger people <br /> in the community. He also noted the new precinct boundaries for voting. <br /> Mr. Humphrey reported back to the board that the elevator in the Courthouse will be <br /> down until Thursday. <br /> 14.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE BUDGET SCHEDULE —the <br /> proposed BOE Budget schedule was in the packet and the board members requested <br /> 10 <br />
