Lancaster stated that she and Butch Hurst attended the Leadership tomorrow group <br /> representing Hall County and they were to give them a brief reason why they are there. <br /> They discussed public safety and how the county pays for all of that. This is a good <br /> opportunity to educate young people. She also noted the certificate of appreciation for <br /> supporting the Nebraska State Cemetery she would like to take it and have it framed. <br /> Lancaster stated the search committee have received applications for the highway <br /> superintendent but are not ready for the interviews for the superintendent. They have <br /> applications for the administrative assistant and have received more and it the board is <br /> ok the search committee will review those and they will have Kim set up interviews for <br /> the November 9th meeting at 1:00 p.m. I <br /> There is an executive session for the Board of Equalization. <br /> 3.DISCUSS & POTENTIAL ACTION REGARDING PENDING TERC CASES <br /> SPECIFICALLY INCLUDING THOSE REGARDING HYVEE & ASSOCIATED <br /> WHOLESALE GROCERS SUPER SAVER NORTH <br /> 4. DISCUSS & POTENTIAL ACTION REGARDING PENDING TERC CASES <br /> SPECIFICALLY INCLUDING THE GRAND ISLAND WOMEN'S CLUB <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session for the <br /> TERC cases regarding HyVee, Associated Wholesale Grocers Super Saver North and <br /> the Grand Island Women's Club. Lancaster sated there are 2 reasons for an executive <br /> session to protect the public interest or to prevent needless harm of injury to an <br /> individual. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted <br /> yes and no one voted no. Quandt was not present for the vote. Motion carried <br /> 10:43 a.m. executive session <br /> 11:25 a.m. Peterson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. Lancaster stated there were no other subjects discussed, no votes were taken <br /> and no action was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Quandt was not present for the vote. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 11:27 a.m. the Board of Equalization meeting was adjourned. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Lancaster called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. <br /> 11:28 a.m. the regular Board of Commissioner's meeting was adjourned.
