Sarah Carstensen stated that there is one other change and that is the open position for <br /> the highway superintendent administrative assistant and the committee is <br /> recommending slight changes to that job description. This has not gone through the <br /> classification committee that serves as an advisory committee to the county board. The <br /> county board has the authority to change this. <br /> The public works administrative assistant positon was on Range 10. Lancaster stated it <br /> was discussed by the committee and that positon should have lesser duties. The <br /> committee agreed there were some of the same duties, but there should be a little less <br /> oversite by this person, it is not a supervisory position. Cross training for the office staff <br /> is necessary. They are recommending Pay Range #9 for the Highway Superintendent <br /> Administrative Assistant. <br /> Lancaster stated that this position may not have gone away. There was discussion in <br /> the past for a third person in the office. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the Pay Range #9 for <br /> the Highway Superintendent Administrative Assistant. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peteson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Sarah ask if the board wanted to approve these job description or to do so at a future <br /> meeting. <br /> Sorensen stated that they would like to wait for two weeks he stated after talking to <br /> Steve they want to change a couple thing on the County Engineer job description. <br /> Lancaster stated they want to move forward advertising for the positions, they need to <br /> get them advertised. <br /> B) UPDATE ON ARPA FUND REPORTS — Mr. Humphrey stated he has been working <br /> with Sarah on the reports. He said he has a couple of questions on the hearing room. <br /> Before the new fiscal year budget was approved there were expenditures on the <br /> hearing room and there were expenditure last year also. He is going to list what has <br /> been spent last year and what has been spent this year when he sends in the report. . <br /> He questioned if the expenses from last year that were paid out of the Building and <br /> Land fund could be reimbursed and transfer the money back to building and land. They <br /> are continuing to work on the hearing room. <br /> Lancaster said this is like the COVID expenses the reimbursement had to go back in the <br /> general fund. She suggested to keep track for reporting purposes. Lancaster <br /> suggested talking to Lutz if we can replace the dollars. <br /> Peterson suggested instead of submitting the expenses from last year together submit <br /> them separately then if they deny the expenditures from last year they would not deny <br /> 4 <br />
