Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster stated this has been difficult and said she appreciates Steve form coming <br /> forward with this. She expressed sincerer sympathy to Steve on the loss of his father. <br /> 4COUNTY ATTORNEY — a) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON KARPEL <br /> CONTRACT ADDENDUM — Sarah Carstensen stated that the county attorney's office <br /> has used this new software program for 1 year and they have not been required to pay <br /> because there are certain interface programs that have not been completed. However <br /> since it has been so long and they are pleased with the software and the interface <br /> program for Spillman is working and they would like to make another payment. This is a <br /> show of good faith but they will expect the rest will be completed and there will not be <br /> any additional payments until it is completed. The payment would be $45,884.45 and <br /> the remaining balance would be $40,000.00 and the will not be due until it is completed. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve making the second <br /> payment to Karpel and approve the contract amendment. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peteson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4b) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO REVIEW AND UPDATE AS NECESSARY <br /> THE PAY SCALE FOR HALL COUNTY EMPLOYEES — Sarah Carstensen noted that <br /> during the budget process the union contracts had not been settled and there was <br /> discussion that some of the supervisory positions in those departments should also <br /> receive the 2% instead of the 1 %%. <br /> Lancaster stated that it was the intent of the board to address those ranges and use the <br /> 2%. Discussion was held on the retro pay back to July 1st <br /> The following ranges would receive the additional 1/2%. <br /> Pay Range 20 Corrections sergeants and full time mental health provider <br /> Pay range 22A Corrections lieutenants <br /> Pay Range 23 Sheriff captains <br /> Pay Range 20 22 and 23 sheriff captians <br /> Peteson stated that it was clear that was the intention. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to approve the additional 1/2% for the <br /> corrections sergeants, corrections lieutenants, full time mental health provider and <br /> sheriff captains. The retro pay would be from July 1, 2021. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peteson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> 3 <br />
