Quandt questioned if the contractors should provide liability insurance on construction <br /> projects. The county has been carrying the liability insurance for future projects the <br /> contractors should have to carry the insurance. The county does receive certificates of <br /> insurance from vendors. <br /> Sarah Carstensen stated that is part of the contract <br /> Loran stated that the final walk through is this afternoon. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session for <br /> items 19 and 20. Lancaster stated there are 2 reasons for an executive session to <br /> protect the public or to prevent needless harm or injury to an individual. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 20. EXECUTIVE SESSION —A) PUBLIC WORKS PERSONNEL — STEVE RIEHLE <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION AS A RESULT OF THE EXECUTIVE <br /> SESSION <br /> Held executive session from 11:48 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. <br /> 19. EXECUTIVE SESSION — PERFORMANCE EVALUATION (LANCASTER) <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PERFORMANCE EVALUATION <br /> Held executive session from 12:10 p.m. to 12:20 p.m. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated there were no other subjects discussed no action was taken and no <br /> votes were taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the Chair and the Vice <br /> Chair to meet with the employee for the annual review. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Bredthauer reported that MAAA <br /> some of the funds may be reduced that may affect the utilities. Bredthauer reported that <br /> the Extension Office was very busy at the fair and noted that they have some good <br /> programs they had a zoom class on how to can salsa. The Planning Commission has <br /> some redevelopment plans in the area of the hospital. Between Faidley and State <br /> streets there may be a proposed TIF project there are proposals for a housing <br /> development and if this this gets started it will never stop and there will be no taxes. <br /> Richardson reported that Stuhr Museum gate admission was 474 that is 71% higher <br /> and the revenue was $7,811.00 that is 184% higher.
