11.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON FIRM TO TAKE THE HALL COUNTY <br /> LEAD REGARDING THE ARPA FUNDS - Lancaster stated that NACO is to make a <br /> selection regarding the firm to assist with the ARPA funds. Lutz is one of the firms and <br /> we will have to make that decision because the reports are to be submitted by the end <br /> of the month. She stated it was good information from Doone that he has worked with <br /> them. <br /> COMMITTEE AND BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - Bredthauer stated she attended the <br /> Regional Planning Commission meeting and the Five Points Roundabout has been <br /> pushed back a\in addition to the Highway 30 project. North road should be open by this <br /> fall. She also attended the NIRMA conference and the handbook was discussed and it <br /> is important to keep it updated. They also stressed having all department sign off on <br /> the handbook. <br /> Richardson reported that Stuhr Museum attendance was 50% higher that it has ever <br /> been. <br /> Sorensen reported that the Building Inspector is working to get all of the forms on the <br /> web site. There was discussion regarding the salary level for the secretarial position <br /> they need a job description and need to have it re-classified. <br /> Lancaster stted that she attended the NPERS meeting and there was an additional <br /> benefit that was paid out. Discussion was held on LB 255 and the State made a <br /> statement about supporting first responders, state patrol, paid a volunteer fire fighters <br /> and sheriff departments there is a $50,000 life insurance policy available and they want <br /> to make counties aware of this. They just need to fill out a form. <br /> Sheriff Conrad stated that on the 26th t the Senior Center they will introduce their new <br /> drug dog Zeus. The dog was a donation from JB Swift he invited all to attend. <br /> 15. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BOARD <br /> ROOM SOUND SYSTEM - Doug Drudik was present last year there were some issues <br /> with the sound system and discussion was held then to budget for future replacement of <br /> the sound system. He has a proposal to replace the mics and the sound system. There <br /> would also be speakers in the ceilings. The proposal was from CEI Security Sound <br /> from Hastings in the amount of$14,703.00 it would use microphones with LED rings <br /> and the on and off switches. This includes the installation and materials. <br /> Lancaster ask about the extra lights would be there and Doug stated the LED rings <br /> would indicate when someone wanted to talk. The funds are available. <br /> Sorensen stated they need to remember to tune on the mics and to use them. <br /> Richardson made a motion to replace the board room sound system. Lancaster called <br /> for a second to the motion and no one made the second. The motion failed. <br /> 9 <br />
