7 <br /> Sheriff Conrad stated that with the retirement of Chief Deputy Jim Castleberry he has <br /> made the appointment for the new Chief Deputy, Joshua Burley a Grand Island Police <br /> Department investigator. <br /> Sheriff Conrad also stted the he would like to hire two patrol specialists. These <br /> positions are in the new budget. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Hurst seconded to authorize Sheriff Conrad to hire 2 <br /> patrol specialists. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson and Sorensen all voted yes <br /> and no one voted no. Richardson and Quandt were not present. Motion carried. <br /> 10:32 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting <br /> 10:42 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting <br /> 17. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION CHAMPION VS <br /> HALL COUNTY <br /> 18. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PERSONNEL EVALUATIONS <br /> Sorensen Made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session <br /> regarding 17 pending litigation and 18 personnel evaluation. Lancaster stated there a <br /> two reasons for an executive session to protect the public interest or to prevent <br /> needless harm or injury to an individual. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Richardson and Quandt were not present. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 17. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PENDING LITIGATION CHAMPION VS <br /> HALL COUNTY <br /> 10:43 a.m. to 10:51 a.m. Held executive session <br /> 18. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PERSONNEL EVALUATIONS <br /> 10:51 a.m. to 10:53 a.m. Held executive session <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated no other subjects were discussion no votes were taken and no action <br /> was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson and Sorensen all voted yes and no <br /> one voted no. Richardson and Quandt were not present. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster called for any action regarding the executive session. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Sorensen seconded to authorize the chair and the Vice <br /> Chair to present the performance evaluation to the employee. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Richardson and <br /> Quandt were not present. Motion carried. <br />
