The concrete is broken and they need to replace it from the street all the way up to the Courthouse. Bredthauer ask if they could use an asphalt overlay or if it could be patched. Loren stted it is beyond patching it needs to be replaced. Richardson stated that it needs to be done and they need to move forward to replace the judge's parking lot and get the information. Quandt stated they need to look at the options and questioned if it has to be up to city code, will they have to have setbacks or islands. It is a steep hill and they need to look at the grade. It needs to be done correctly. He ask if Steve could do the engineering. Bredthauer suggested by using the overlay we would have more spaces we do not want the lot to be smaller. Hurst suggested using the veteran's parking lot but Lancaster stated it is full there are not enough parking spaces there. Loren stated this is not a public parking lot it is a private lot so they should not have to address ADA parking spaces. He said he will get the information on private parking lots. Quandt questioned the ADA parking spaces and these spaces are in front of the DHHS building so they do not need any ADA parking spaces in the back. Discussion was held and it was suggested to add #13 the Contract with Mid Plains for the jail lobby security project to the consent agenda and Sarah stated that she and Todd reviewed the contract and tit could be approved and also to add #17 regarding the special designated liquor licenses for Bosselmans and B & D to the consent agenda items. Peterson made a motion and Sorensen seconded to add item # 13 and #17. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. Motion carried. 11. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY GOVERNMENT USE OF THE AMERICAN RECOVERY ACT ALLOCATION —there re nor firm dollars at this time but the Federal Building, corrections and the court could be included because of the COVID related issues. There may be a couple building that could benefit from these dollars. Valorie Bendixen left a list of items that could be used for the additional court rooms. Mr. Humphrey stated that they had included a new judge's bench but that would have to be special built but there are other issues that could be addressed.
