Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:13 a.m. adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster Called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 8.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ASSESSOR'S OFFICE <br /> SOFTWARE - Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that 2 weeks ago the <br /> board had the Request for Proposal for the Assessor's software. After research Sarah <br /> Stated the County can do an RP but she found out that NACO pointed out that they <br /> offer the service for the assessor's software through MIPS. There is not contract just a <br /> month to month service fee. It appears that this would fit under professional services <br /> Category. If the county wants to proceed with the RFP we could or use IPS as <br /> professional services. She ask how the board want to proceed. <br /> Peterson based on the conversations that we have had with NACO and the fact that <br /> were are interested in the MIPS he would move forward. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Richardson seconded that we move forward to accept <br /> MIPS as the Assessor's new software. <br /> Richardson stated that she talked to Jeff Powers with MIPS and he stated that there are <br /> 70 assessor that use the MIPS program. She feels comfortable with MIPS and start the <br /> conversion process. <br /> Quandt ask what this will cost on for the old program and Lancaster stated this has <br /> been discussed and will be determined. There was only 1 bid that was submitted from <br /> 2 <br />
