Held executive session from 11:40 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. <br /> Sorensen made a motion ad Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no <br /> action was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen <br /> all vote yes and no one voted no. Quandt was absent for the vote. Motion carried. <br /> Chair Lancaster ask if there was any action to be taken from the executive session and <br /> here was no action. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS — Mr. Hurst stated he attended the <br /> MAAA meeting and they are hoping to be able to open the centers up by May 3rd <br /> barring any major issues. <br /> Lancaster noted that the hall County Senior Center may open at a later date they are <br /> doing some renovations. There are 2 centers that are not under MAAA Hamilton <br /> County and Grand Island Senior Citizens, it is up to the center's board of directors. Our <br /> center will have a new look and new menus and the may open later in June. They are <br /> still continuing the drive through meals. <br /> Bredthauer noted that there are 11 HyVee stores that are doing the voucher programs. <br /> She also reported that the Regional Planning commission will be holding a work study <br /> session regarding land banks on April 16th. This may not affect Hall County. <br /> It was also noted that the joint GIS ESRI and the GIS interlocal agreement may add <br /> some costs to the GIS program, but this will add more programs and they want to add <br /> more. <br /> Richardson reported that Stuhr Museum has been breaking attendance records. The <br /> Humane society also held the annual "Fur ball" and it was successful. There will also <br /> be a CASA meeting at 1:00 p.m. <br /> Lancaster noted that the Jack Wilson trial has been postponed until July 23rd. The <br /> courts have directed the parties to get together. <br /> Lancaster stated she also attended the media event at Fonner regarding the proposed <br /> casino. This is a family owned business and it was impressive. It was also noted that <br /> the city may get a larger portion that the county but it is still substantial at about $7 to $9 <br /> million. Discussion was held on the percentage amounts for the city and county. <br /> Discussion was held on whether or not the commissioners could gamble and it is not <br /> our game so it would not apply to the casino. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS — Chair Lancaster called for new or unfinished <br /> business and no one responded. <br /> Meeting adjourned the next meeting will be April 27, 2011 at 9:00 am. <br /> 9 <br />
