Peterson said the discussion was not to drop spouses but if there is insurance available <br /> from another employer they could take that. This is a common practice in the insurance <br /> world it was just brought up as a consideration. <br /> Richardson stated she is disappointed with this and will resign Gary can replace her. <br /> Lancaster stated she will go back and see if there was anyone interested. <br /> Pam has done research regarding private companies, but government is different. <br /> There were substantial raises in salaries. The county looks out for the best interest of <br /> the employees regarding the health insurance. If board does not want a motion that is <br /> fine. <br /> Kim insurance and audit committee have met in March and Matt will come in April this <br /> has worked well and would recommend to keep it this way. <br /> Hurst ask Quandt if we do not know or have information he should not make any <br /> promises and tell them to call a member of the committee. <br /> People know they are working on insurance and union negations they need to ask the <br /> committee. Gary ask about minutes it was a 3 1/2 hour meeting. <br /> 17. DISCUSS & APPROVE BUDGET SCHEDULE — Lancaster expressed concern on <br /> audit committee meeting that is scheduled Monday June 21 to review the equipment & <br /> improvement reserve transfers. She has an important meeting at NPERS and that <br /> meeting cannot be changed and it is important that she be there. She has talked to Kim <br /> and Ron and they will fill her in on the reserve transfers she will not be in attendance. <br /> There will be no changes on that date. <br /> The board had a lengthy discussion on the proposed schedule. <br /> Ron suggested to go one full day on the July 29th or 30th <br /> The board members reviewed their schedules and also agreed to meet 9 to 5 on July <br /> 29, 2021 and delete July 30th <br /> Discussion was held on the Board of Equalization meetings and it was decided to leave <br /> the Board of Equalization dates and hours the same. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the budget and board of <br /> equalization schedule changing July 19, 2021 to 9 to 5. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no Motion <br /> carried. <br /> B) EXECUTIVE SESSION — OLD HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING DISCUSSION & <br /> POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING OLD HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING <br /> C) EXECUTIVE SESSION — REGARDING SAFETY <br /> 8 <br />
