She ask Steve how they check the gravel and Steve they do a lot of tests and
they know when the gravel was run so will know where the loads come from.
The concrete floor is done it is sealed and they sealed the cracks with an epoxy and put
down the salt sealer. DISCUS & TAKE ACTION ON ALLOWING THE AUDIT COMMITTEE TO
ESTABLISH A PLAN TO ACCEPT AND POTENTIALLY ALLOCATE STIMULUS
DOLLARS TO COUNTY DEPARTMENTS - Lancaster this is to allow the audit
committee to come up with a process for these dollars. We do not know when
the dollars will come and how they are to be allocated and what they can be used for.
Peterson said we have to determine how the dollars can be used and when it will be
here. The county could be penalized if it is not correct. He said he would like to see it
used for onetime expenditures. They may even be available to outside entities. They
need to figure out the entire program and felt that the audit committee along with Stacy,
Kim and Kayla and Sarah to work on this process.
Bredthauer expressed concern regarding the departments receiving the funds and the
possibility of a penalty. Need to know where it is going Lancaster there are the options
and it will come back to the full board. The dollars were to come 60 days after it was
signed and the last payment will be after 12 months. We may only have 12 moth to
spend the first half. It would be good to use these funds instead of inheritance dollars.
Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to allow the audit committee to
establish a plan regarding the stimulus dollars. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt,
Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no Motion carried.
13.
