Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no Motion carried. <br /> 7A) PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BOB MCFARLAND - NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR <br /> FUNDING DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE FUNDING FOR <br /> PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPERATING ASSISTANCE FOR <br /> 2021 TO 2023 & AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN 5311 FUNDING APPLICATION <br /> Bob McFarland Executive Director and Finance Manager with the 5311 funding <br /> application. Mr. McFarland stated that the request has increased. They are currently <br /> running later hours and have started running buses on Saturdays. There was a request <br /> from the public for these changes. The ridership is separated between urban and rural <br /> rides. The County is responsible for 25% of the rural ridership. Previously it was 95% <br /> city and 5% county now it is 87% city and 13% county. The state has been contributing <br /> additional funding. <br /> Lancaster stated it is good news that the rural ridership has increased this is important <br /> to the rural areas. <br /> Mr. McFarland stated the month of March was at 128 rides and the lowest has been 117 <br /> rides. The rural rides originated and terminates outside of the urban area. <br /> Quandt ask if they keep track if each rural area it would be interesting to know the <br /> numbers in Cairo Wood River and others. It is good to hear they are open on Saturday <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the chair to sign the <br /> 5311 funding application. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and <br /> Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Quandt abstained. Motion carried. <br /> 7B) APPROVE RESOLUTION #21 — 007 AUTHORIZING HALL COUNTY PUBLIC <br /> TRANSPORTATION TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR <br /> 2021 TO 2023 - This is for 2 fiscal years and it an average of the dollars requested for <br /> the matching funds. <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve Resolution #21-007 <br /> authorizing Hall County Public Transportation to apply for financial assistance. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and <br /> none voted no.
