Steve noted the gravel roads ae soggy but they have adequate amounts of gravel on <br /> the roads, they are not bad. 60th Road has a lot of traffic that road is messy. People <br /> know it has rained a lot. They are getting ready for the gravel and they have the specs <br /> at 80%. That is good gravel He reported that the gravel from Cairo is now in <br /> compliance it is good gravel. <br /> Sorensen stated y talked to Susan Niemoth that project has been completed they <br /> cannot do much more. Scott said he was asked to have some delay on the gravel <br /> delivery. Amick Acres has drained out after the rain, the project was designed well. <br /> Steve said it was designed for the worst case. Steve is looking at the engineering and <br /> stated they may eliminate a driveway culvert and consider if they can leave the ditch if <br /> so they can get it done faster. The project worked well. <br /> Bredthauer noted they could clean out more brush on Cedarview off of Hilltop east <br /> Steve said that is always wet if it gets dry they can use their equipment to clean it out. <br /> Bredthauer stated that it looked amazing. <br /> Pam there was some additional work that was going to be done but with this was a <br /> significant rain and a good test, so they may not have to do any more work. Steve said <br /> they still need to address a couple culverts. Lancaster questioned if there was any <br /> discussion to purchase right of way. If it is done need to finish up. <br /> Quandt thought equal part NRD would pay for a small portion of the work. Steve said <br /> this may have went to the homeowners. Steve said they have those dollars it was to <br /> 1/3 partners NRD would not go in with the county but did some cost sharing with the <br /> homeowners. The homeowners were to address the right of way. The NRD contributed <br /> $30,000 to the home owners may have contributed $40,000 the county spend <br /> $100,000. <br /> Steve stated they have worked on Gunbarrel Road cutting trees and brush it is cleaned <br /> up. Merrick County has purchased a similar machine and will share the work and it will <br /> help to do both sides to keep the water flowing. <br /> Richardson stated she appreciated the work and now they will need to work on the <br /> culverts. <br /> Bredthauer noted the culvert work on A Road would be Merrick County the residents <br /> could approach Merrick county concerning this. <br /> Sorensen stated they need to make a plea to not block the culverts if they were all left <br /> open they may not have as many calls.
