Motion carried. <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:07 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 4. DISCUSSION AND OVERVIEW OF CASINO PROCESS FOR HALL COUNTY <br /> Richardson stated she invited Chis Kotulak chief executive officer at Fonner Park to <br /> discuss the casino development and the roll that keno will play in it. Jane and Pam <br /> thanked him for coming. <br /> Mr. Kotulak stated that he will address the keno element first. Fonner Park has not <br /> chosen a casino operator yet. They are still in the interviewing process and hope in a <br /> month or so to make a decision. In all of the discussion they have said that Fonner <br /> Park is the home for keno and they must have the game continue. No one has resisted <br /> and he feels keno will continue at Fonner Park. Fonner Park wanted to have the <br /> historical horse racing proposal passed but Ho-Chunk and the Horseman's <br /> Benevolence Protection Association had their plans in place and they were approved. <br /> They have their casino operator in place. <br /> Chris stated that keno became Popular in the 1970's and he wants to see that continue. <br /> The keno will be in the casinos. He has opened up more keno windows at the horse <br /> races and there is keno at the satellite facilities it will also help those sites. Keno is part <br /> 2 <br />
