Skye stated veterans can come from the drug court side. Veterans do better when they <br /> have other veterans in the program. Judge Carson stated that there is also a mentor <br /> program and a program coordinator who is also a veteran they would be responsible or <br /> finding other veterans. This creates the support network. <br /> Lancaster stated that Mr. Hurst will be the liaison for the Veterans Court. <br /> 8. DISCUSS AND APPROVE BOARD CHAIR TO SIGN CENTRAL NEBRASKA <br /> VETERANS TREATMENT COURT AGREEMENT - Quandt made a motion and <br /> Peterson seconded to approve the agreement with Veterans Court. PUBLIC WORKS- A) PRESENTATION OF HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT'S <br /> REPORT REGARDING THE USE OF 70TH ROAD NORTH OF SCHULTZ ROAD <br /> (INCLUDING THE CURVES ON ALDA ROAD-LINK L40C) — Mr. Riehle stated that this <br /> is step 2 for the vacation of a county road. It requires Steve to do a study of the road. <br /> He stated that this section of road is not used a county road and currently part of the <br /> road is being used a driveway. There will be no effect on fire protection, law <br /> enforcement or abutting property owners and there will not be any drainage issues. He <br /> is recommending to the county board to close this section of road and move to the next <br /> step to schedule a public hearing. He is required to prepare a resolution directing the <br /> closure. He showed pictures of the road showing that there is no access to the area. <br /> He is recommending that part of the right-of-way could be sold. He is recommending to <br /> approve the resolution and set the public hearing. <br /> B) SET PUBLIC HEARING FOR 10:00 AM ON TUESDAY MARCH 2, 2021 <br /> REGARDING CONSIDERATION OF VACATING 70TH ROAD NORTH OF SCHULTZ <br /> ROAD (INCLUDING THE CURVES ON ALDA ROAD-LINK L40C) <br /> Sorensen made a motion and Peterson seconded to approve Resolution #2021 002 and <br /> to sit the public hearing for March 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and no one voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 4 <br />
