7C) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON EXPANDING THE FFCRA PAID SICK <br /> LEAVE AND EXPANDED FMLA SET TO EXPIRE DECEMBER 31, 2020. <br /> Sarah stated this addresses the extension of FMLA. If the employee has used the 2 <br /> weeks paid they do not get an additional 2 weeks. This is the board's decision. <br /> Lancaster noted the county has taken extreme precautions and they do not want this to <br /> become a budget issue. The county will receive some reimbursement and we are <br /> following the federal guidelines. No action was taken <br /> FACILITIES - <br /> 10. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ALTERNATE BID OF <br /> $60,400.00 FROM MID PLAINS CONSTRUCTION FOR COURTHOUSE ROTUNDA <br /> PAINTING Sarah stated she had some concerns the way it was drafted but is satisfied <br /> with it and the board can move forward. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Peterson seconded to accept the alternate bid of <br /> $60,400.00 for the rotunda painting with Mid Plains Construction. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried <br /> 11. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN A1A <br /> AGREEMENT FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION WITH ROTUNDA PAINTING - Sarah stated <br /> she met with the bidders and addressed her concerns. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the chair to sign the A1A <br /> agreement with Mid Plains Construction for the fire suppression and rotunda painting. <br /> Sarah stated that the project manual is where the insurance is laid out and this will be <br /> included with the contract. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt Peterson, Richardson <br /> and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 12.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN A1A <br /> AGREEMENT FOR EGRESS SYSTEM FOR COURTHOUSE WITH LACY <br /> CONSTRUCTION - Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer second to authorize the <br /> chair to sign the A1A agreement with Lacy Construction for the third floor egress for the <br /> Courthouse. The project manual will be added to the contract. Bredthauer, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt Peterson, Richardson and Sorensen all voted yes and none voted <br /> no. Motion carried <br /> Quandt suggested to contact NIRMA regarding the insurance coverage on these <br /> projects and Sarah stated she did contact Larry Phelan and is waiting for his response. <br /> To make sure the county is covered. The contractors and architect appreciated the <br /> meeting. Sarah started they will start mid-January <br /> 9 <br />
