EXECUTIVE SESSION UNION NEGOTIATION (LANCASTER) <br /> 14. EXECUTIVE SESSION UNION NEGOTIATION (BREDTHAUER) <br /> 10:55 a.m. to 11:52 a.m. <br /> 11:55 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive <br /> session. Lancaster stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken <br /> and no action was taken. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, and Richardson all <br /> voted yes, Peterson was absent and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 15. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION INTERPRETATION OF THE UNION <br /> CONTRACT— Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded that the chair of the <br /> county safety committee will also sit on the Public Works Safety committee. This will be <br /> addressed every January. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, and Richardson all <br /> voted yes, Peterson was absent and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS GRAVEL BID OPENING — Mr. Riehle stated that he reviewed the bids <br /> and check the math. His estimate was a little higher. He provided copies of the spread <br /> sheet and circled the low bidder of Mid Nebraska Aggregate and recommended to <br /> award the bids for all of the pit prices and award all of the low bids for the township spot <br /> gravel prices. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to award all of the gravel bids as <br /> recommended by Steve Riehle. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, and Richardson <br /> all voted yes, Peterson was absent and no one voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 7b PUBLIC WORK UPDATE - Quandt ask Mr. Riehle if JIL has completed the Highway <br /> 11. Steve stated they have not been paid and they are still holding $85,000.00. He <br /> stated J.I.L. did have contract and a machine but it has not been completed. <br /> Quandt ask if this need to go to the county attorney. It is in the contract and Steve <br /> stated they could go to the bonding company. <br /> Bredthauer stated that the diamond grinding is only 1 inch and they have to use water <br /> for the grinders so it would be difficult to do it now. Quandt stated this needs to be on <br /> the agenda in2 weeks for the Wood River Road issue. <br /> 5 <br />
