9:20 A.M. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:35 A.M. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 9:15 UNITED WAY PRESENTATION — Karen Rathke and Sarah and Tiffany with the <br /> United Way presented brochures to the board members. Gary Quandt has volunteered <br /> to help with the Hall County campaign. She updated the board on the various programs <br /> and support programs that are offered. They partner with other organizations and <br /> encourage volunteering. 100% of the donation stay in Hall County. <br /> 6. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO RE-ADVERTISE FOR BID OPENING <br /> FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION/EGRESS FOR COURT HOUSE - Mr. Humphrey stated that <br /> this was not advertised in the newspaper. This was available through the architect and <br /> the county did receive 2 bids. Discussion was held and the board agreed that it should <br /> be advertised. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that he talked to the architect and there could be other bidders. <br /> The bids can be returned unopened. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to return the bids that were received <br /> and advertise in the local paper. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 8. FACILITIES — INFORMATION REGARDING ADDENDUM #1 FOR HALL COUNTY <br /> COURTHOUSE FIRE SPRINKLER INSTALLATION — Mr. Humphrey stated that there <br /> were not complete plans on the painting of the rotunda at the court house so the <br /> architect added the Addendum #1. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve Addendum #1 for the Hall <br /> County Courthouse Fire suppression and Egress. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to re-advertise the bid opening for <br /> November 24, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. with bids due Monday November 23, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9.DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN LEASE <br /> WITH BOB CAT FOR SKID STEER - Mr. Humphrey stated that this lease was <br /> discussion and approved at budget time. <br /> 4 <br />
