Motion Carried <br /> 10C DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND FOR ASPHALT RESURFACING ON STUHR ROAD. — <br /> Riehle stated the city limits is on this bridge between Wood River and the intersection at Stolley <br /> Park Road and that makes the maintenance responsibility of the bridge the cities. They are <br /> proposing to make repairs to make the bridge smoother. The estimated cost for the county's <br /> portion of the work would be $6,000.00. Steve is recommending that the board approve this <br /> agreement. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the agreement with the City of <br /> Grand Island for asphalt resurfacing on Stuhr Road. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes, none voted no. Motion Carried <br /> 10D DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING SAFETY & TRAFFIC CONTROL AT <br /> THE INTERSECTION OF ENGLEMAN ROAD WITH STOLLEY PARK ROAD.-Reihle stated <br /> they have monitored that intersection a couple times to check how well traffic flow is through <br /> that intersection. Last week he stated they did a traffic count from 11:30 to 12:30. The north <br /> south traffic counts southbound went up 3% and the north went down by 3% east bound was <br /> exactly the same. He stated with the detours that the City has in place especially with Potash <br /> west of 281 there is a lot of traffic. The west bound is a right turn movement considered a free <br /> movement and 30% of the traffic making that movement. He stated the North and South were <br /> his concern. <br /> Riehle recommends that the intersection remains as it is. The main reason is amount of traffic <br /> movement in the North/South direction. He stated changing it to a 4 way stop would reduce <br /> safety for motorist on Engelmann Road. Motorist wanting to cross Hwy 30 are having a hard <br /> time finding gaps in traffic. Riehle suggested notify the public about alternative routes to use. <br /> Quandt and Bredthauer questioned about having the speed limit lowered from 55 on Hwy 30. <br /> Riehle stated he would suggest that to the City <br /> 10E DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF COVID- <br /> 19 ADMINISTRATION LEAVE TO PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE WHO WAS IMPACTED <br /> BEFORE APRIL 1, 2020. —Riehle stated the County Board had adopted the policy for Covid <br /> leave effective April 1st. Riehle stated he had an employee that had went to Colorado skiing <br /> came back on Monday March 16, 2020 from this planned trip. This area was considered to be a <br /> hot spot at that time and the employee was advised to quarantine. He is scheduled to get <br /> 4 <br />
