Motion carried. <br /> STUHR MUSEUM FOUNDATION <br /> Mrs. Smith reported: <br /> Marketing <br /> • AFD appeal was mailed at the end of August and the foundation is actively celebrating the <br /> campaign chairs on social media with a billboard on property in process. <br /> Events <br /> • 2020 Annual Fund Drive Donor Engagement Event took place Friday September 11. The <br /> foundation and campaign chairs hand delivered meals to attendees and the feedback was <br /> great. <br /> Development <br /> • Go Big GIVE grand total: $46,671.86 has been deposited. <br /> Grants & Sponsorships <br /> • Grants Awarded: Humanities Nebraska, Ethel S. Abbott $10,000; Peter Kiewit Foundation <br /> $300,000 (largest non-capital grant ever given); DHHS Stabilization Grant $27,000. <br /> • Grants in process: Virgil Eihusen Foundation, Wolbach Foundation, Daugherty Foundation, <br /> Sunderland Foundation, The Hearst Foundation, Kitty M Perkins Foundation, and Vern & Esther <br /> Taylor Charitable Trust. <br /> Executive <br /> • The Foundation audit was delayed due to a bookkeeping adjustment at the beginning of the <br /> fiscal year that required update. Update is complete and the audit is in the process of <br /> reschedule. <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Hochstetler referred board to his written report for details. Point out a couple topics: <br /> • Thank you to the staff of Stuhr Museum, specifically the senior management team. They are <br /> functioning very well. Tackling some tough tasks. They have moved forward. <br /> • Looking at net revenue for the last six to nine months, we need to make some value calls where <br /> we are going to invest to build. Big goals to drive attendance and sales. With Altru this will <br /> capture everyone that enter our gates. Need to make tough decisions. Increase communication <br /> with board, staff, and the community. We will get there --we are not there yet. Keep the WE <br /> WILL statement as a beacon. There is goodness in these statements. <br /> • Thank you to the Stuhr Board and County Board for believing in this organization, not just Hall <br /> county not just Nebraska, but the world. <br /> • Welcome to Matt Maser.
