9:05 a.m. Held the Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:34 a.m. adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting <br /> 6. 9:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FOR RENEWAL FOR PILOT TRAVEL CENTERS 11775 <br /> NEBRASKA#11 WOOD RIVER FOR WASTEWATER LAGOON —Quandt made a motion and <br /> Bredthauer seconded to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that this is a renewal for waste water lagoon he did have two phone calls <br /> but they were OK to keep it in the area. He has had no complaints. <br /> Chair Lancaster called for public participation. <br /> Michael Jones, 7530 West Lepin Road, Doniphan, NE he owns property next to Pilot and <br /> expressed concerns on trash blowing across his property and at one point he was contacted <br /> about pumping across his land into the river. He questioned if this was legal and he did call <br /> DEQ. He also noted that the level of the lagoon is close to the top because of all the rain. He is <br /> asking the board for reassurance they are in compliance and the level of the lagoon does not <br /> reach the top. <br /> Quandt ask if they pumped across his property and Mr. Jones stated they did not. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated he will check with the DEQ but he does know that Bosselman's has <br /> pumped into the river before. <br /> Hartman noted that if they go on his ground that could be an issue. Loran stated he will check <br /> and get Mr. Jones's contact information. <br /> Lancaster called for any public participation and no one responded. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to close the public hearing. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried <br /> 6bDISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT—Quandt <br /> made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to postpone the decision on the renewal of the <br /> conditional use permit for 2 weeks. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 8.9:45 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FOR RENEWAL FOR WERNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br /> 4600 GUENTHER ROAD FOR a SAND & GRAVEL PUMPING OPERATION — Quandt made a <br /> motion and Bredthauer second to open the public hearing. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated this is a sand and gravel pumping operation. Quandt ask if the condition <br /> on page 5 regarding the number of vehicles that are licensed in Hall County has been met and <br /> 3 <br />
