DISCUSSION &POSSIBLE ACTION ON SALARY RANGE, TIMELINE AND <br /> ADVERTISING FOR BUILDING INSPECTOR POSITION - Peterson stated the job <br /> description was updated and they will run the add in different papers, the NACO website <br /> and also with the league of municipalities and they are working with Greg Cramer. <br /> There is no deadline on the applications. <br /> Peterson provided information on the salary Alan is currently above the ranges but he <br /> has more experience. The board sets the salaries for the department heads and they <br /> are not listed on the pay scales. <br /> Lancaster stated that the board has done this different ways they could set a salary for <br /> 6 months and then one year. The board sets the salaries for the department heads and <br /> also set the annual percentage increases. <br /> Quandt ask when the person starts if they will have to have all of the certifications. <br /> They could use Alan until the person has the certifications. <br /> Peterson stated the ranges are different and there would be more city inspections vs. <br /> the number of the county inspections. The range will need to be appropriate based on <br /> experience. <br /> 5 <br />
