Motion carried. <br /> UPDATE ON GRANTS — Mr. Humphrey stated he is working on the grant and getting <br /> the information for the payroll from the sheriff's department. <br /> Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen questioned if they could use the jail <br /> employees in this grant. They also have specific training. Mr. Humphrey stated that <br /> corrections dos not qualify. In the guideline he stated that they are not included. <br /> Sarah stated that this is a huge pile of money and questioned if they would include <br /> corrections. Loran stated he could check. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS —A) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF CHANGES TO STOP <br /> CONTROL AT THE INTERSECTION OF ENGLEMAN ROAD & STOLLEY PARK <br /> ROAD - Mr. Riehle read an e mail from Dustin Cole, 4508 West Capital, regarding the <br /> proposed stop control at Engleman & Stolley Park Road. Steve stated there is a lot of <br /> traffic at the intersections and there is a need for the stop signs but it is important not to <br /> overuse stop controls they could consider slowing traffic. They could also use stop <br /> ahead signs or watch for turning vehicle signs. He did a traffic count and the traffic is <br /> handled well and they could consider the 45 mph speed limit. Engleman is more <br /> residential and he stated he will just continue to monitor and not put up stop signs. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to leave the stop sign as is and put up <br /> the flags. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt Peterson and Richardson all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster stated that C. L. Stevenson stated they do not need the stop signs. <br /> C) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION ESTABLISHING 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON <br /> STOLLEY PARK ROAD EAST OF ENGLEMAN ROAD AND APPROVE RESOLUTION <br /> #20-161 — Mr. Riehle is recommending to set the 45 MPH speed limit on Stolley Park <br /> Road east of Engleman Road. <br /> Lancaster ask about the shelter belt and noted that responsible rural drivers will slow <br /> down anyway. She was ask to vote against lowering the speed limit. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve Resolution #20-161to lower <br /> the speed limit on Stolley Park Road Bredthauer, Hartman, Quandt Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and Hurst and Lancaster voted no.
