Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open the bids as listed. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 10:15 A.M. BID OPENING FOR SECURITY FIXTURES The following bid was received. BIDDER TOTAL BID Sentry Security Fasteners Inc. $8,234.70 Peoria, IL Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the bid and to refer the bid to Corrections Director Todd Bahensky. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 10:15 A.M. BID OPENING FOR MOWER Discussion was held regarding the specification for the mower they were specific to the Grasshopper brand mower. Richardson ask Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen if you can bid one specific brand. Sarah stated she talked to Todd about this and the security system is a good example they have the ability to work on this type of lock so they bid that type. Hartman also expressed concern that it was for only one brand of mower. Sarah noted they are familiar with this type of mower and equipment. The board could re advertise if they wanted to. Hartman stated this needs to be changed in the future and it should be county wide and not just one dealer there are several other dealers that could take a shot at the bid.
