5. SPECIAL RECOGNITION FOR BAILEY GIBSON — Lancaster stated that Hall County <br /> has exemplary employees and they want to recognize them. <br /> Jon Rosenlund stated this is long overdue during the flood Baily Gibson helped the <br /> public and the local responders regarding the roads that were closed or open. The <br /> public and responders were able to know in real time the condition of the roads this was <br /> critical during the flood. He also stated that when Covidl9 started she created the <br /> online dashboard to communicate with the public the number of cases and the <br /> necessary health responses. This data also helped the health department this was the <br /> best dashboard in the state. . They are grateful for everything she does and great <br /> people like Bailey make it happen. <br /> Lancaster read the certificate for Bailey. <br /> 4. SHERIFF DEPARTMENT— RECOGNITIONS - Sheriff Conrad stated that his staff <br /> went over and above to assist the public during the questionable times. They are not <br /> sworn deputies and were in the front lines serving the public. He wanted to show some <br /> appreciation. The following were recognized. <br /> Heath Johnson <br /> Tyson McLanb <br /> Sarah Bockhoven <br /> Tracy Atwood <br /> Bailey Hall <br /> Penny Haugh <br /> Jenny White <br /> Janet Buhrman <br /> Melanie Arends <br /> Renee Franzen <br /> Daniel Stout <br /> Theresa Castelberry <br /> They were also presented with a box of cinnabon rolls. <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 10:15 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular <br /> meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chair Lancaster called for public participation and Jay <br /> Vavricek requested to address the board he stated he is here regarding Senior Citizens <br /> and the Grand Generation Center. The center is driven by funds from MAAA and on <br /> June 13, they were given a proposal for the July 1, 2020 funding. He expressed <br /> concern that Wood River will receive $24,000 at $9.00 a meal and Doniphan is also at <br /> $9.00 a meal the Grand Generation Center will receive $159.000 at $2.64 a meal. He <br /> expressed concern on the disparity regarding the meals. This is the agreement but why <br /> 3 <br />
