4 COUNTY ATTORNEY-DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE <br /> SOFTWARE CONTRACT FOR THE COUNTY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE WITH <br /> KARPEL.-Carstensen stated that she had sent the contracts out to the board <br /> highlighting the values as they are the same as before when they got bids back. <br /> $172,250 is the value with $132,300 being project cost and $20,250 being annual <br /> support services, and travel expenses and $7,500 for document conversion. <br /> Carstensen read thru some of the highlights on contract and time lines. <br /> Carstensen stated that she would like opportunity to move forward with the <br /> contract, as this software will help them to do their jobs remotely even better. She <br /> stated if any changes or modifications would be made that would affect the money <br /> portion of it she would come back to the board before moving forward, but other <br /> than that she asked the board to give authority to move forward with contract, <br /> even if there would be some minor changes <br /> Marty Klein stated they are going to do their best to make sure what they are <br /> asking for will be delivered to them and also would like board to give authority for <br /> them to move forward with contract as well. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion to let Sarah move forward with contract and making <br /> decisions on how it should be structured and set up Hurst seconded the motion. <br /> Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Quandt, Lancaster, Peterson and Richardson all <br /> voted yes, none voted no Motion Carried. <br /> 5 FACILITIES-DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON LAW MOVING AGREEMENT <br /> FOR GROUNDS AROUND COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING AND <br /> COURT HOUSE- Mr. Humphrey asked if board wanted to pull contract for mowing <br /> he stated it cost $5,000.00 for roughly 26 weeks to have grounds mowed. <br /> Richardson questioned how it would get mowed if contract not renewed? <br /> Humphrey stated it would take more time and longer to get done but that they <br /> could handle it, he stated they are one person down, he also stated he would <br /> have to spend around $500.00 on a new electric mower if they were going to have <br /> to mow the grounds. <br /> Hurst stated by time you add in duties and time spent on mowing it would be <br /> better to just leave it the way it is. <br /> Richardson and Peterson agreed with Hurst <br /> Hartman stated the employees could handle the mowing and that saving money <br /> needed to be done. <br /> Richardson made motion to keep contract in place the way it is and Peterson <br /> seconded. Bredthauer, Lancaster, Quandt, and Hartman all voted no Richardson, <br /> Hurst, and Peterson, voted yes. Motion failed. <br />
