10 UPDATE REGARDING ADMINISTRATION BUILDING SECURITY DURING
ELECTION CYCLE AND BOARD MEETINGS-Lancaster stated that because the admin
building is closed to thru traffic and done thru appointments only currently, she stated
this would not be the case if we have early voting, she stated someone would need to
maintain the door. She stated the sheriff needs his men, and hiring would be expensive
to do. She stated Loren Humphrey agreed to let two of his employees man the door as
two weeks ago they closed the Hall County park freeing up two employees to help, so
two people from park's department will be covering the door if the need arises.
11-DISCUSS AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON FUTURE COUNTY BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS-Lancaster stated that considering the governor has
closed things down until the end of April, and by law she stated they can dismiss their
meetings for the month of April, we would not cancel but just see what was on agenda
and what could wait. She stated if there was something that came up we could meet
again like this if need be, if not we would just resume our formal meetings come May.
Hartman made a motion to have no meetings in April allowing chair to sign all vital
documents and to pay all county's bills and payrolls. Bredthauer seconded the motion.
Bredthauer, Hurst, Hartman, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes
none voted no. Motion carried.
12-DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY EMERGENCY PUBLIC
INFORMATION OFFICER-Lancaster stated that Emergency management requested
that Tracy Overstreet become the emergency public information officer, she will be in
charge of sending in paperwork to the state and she is willing to take responsibility, the
board just needs to appoint her.
Quandt made a motion to appoint Tracy Overstreet as our County Emergency public
information officer. Bredthauer seconded the motion. Bredthauer, Hurst, Hartman,
Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes, none voted no. Motion
Carried.
14 (A) DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
WERNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR SAND AND GRAVEL PUMPING
OPERATION-Sarah Carstensen stated she wanted to pull this item and bring it back on
once more work is done on it.
14 (B) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON INFORMAL BIDS FOR SECURITY
WINDOWS FOR ADMINISTRATION BUILDING-Lancaster stated that this pandemic
does not have a start or end date, she stated that our employees are going to feel
insecure for a very long time, possibly until they find an antidote. So even once our
buildings are reopened people just don't know, she feels good idea to have some kind
of glass to protect employees, and she stated they are looking at options.
