12. UPDATE & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING HEALTH INSURANCE FUND PLEDGED <br /> COLLATERAL & INTEREST ON ACCOUNT— Lancaster stated that they are working with Mid- <br /> American Benefits and a better way to do business. There is currently no pledged collateral and <br /> no interest on the account. All of the local banks have been contacted with a request for a <br /> proposal. Once the proposal are received they will be reviewed and come back to the board <br /> with a recommendation. <br /> 13. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON NE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION <br /> REGARDING RAILROAD HEARING FEBRUARY 5, 2020 Quandt stated that they have <br /> received a letter informing them of the hearing. All of the board members have a copy. The <br /> hearing will be February 5 in the County Board Room. This will the publics opportunity to <br /> address the issues. <br /> Lancaster thanked Mr. Quant and stated it was amazing that they were able to get this done. <br /> There is not action needed. <br /> 14. FACILITIES A) UPDATE ON SUPPRESSION SYSTEM — Mr. Humphrey showed the board <br /> a drawing of the proposed egress from Judge Young and Judge Butler's court rooms. He <br /> expressed concern that it may affect the judge's parking lot and it is close to the underground <br /> tunnel. The steps will be close to the building. He does not have any more information on the <br /> suppression system but as soon as he received it he will work on the specifications. He also <br /> noted that the water for the suppression system will be coming in off of Locust <br /> Street. There will be a 3' by 3' box by the Clerk Magistrate's office and it will go into the ceiling <br /> and along the side of the elevator mechanical room. It will be a 6 inch line. They are also <br /> watching the temperature in the attic and the highest it has been is 40 degrees they are <br /> monitoring the temperature when it is the coldest. <br /> Quandt questioned the size of the landings and it they were big enough for a wheel chair. Until <br /> they could receive help or be carried down. <br /> Lancaster thanked him for the drawing it is easier to visualize what it looks like. Loren stated <br /> that it will look good with the architecture of the building. <br /> B) DISCUSSIO & POSSIBLE ACTION ON DECISION TO INCLUDE PAINTING OF <br /> COURTHOUSE ROTUNDA CEILING WITH SUPRESSION SYSTEM - Loren also requested <br /> permission to prepare specifications for the repairs and painting of the rotunda as an addendum <br /> to the fire suppression system. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Peterson seconded to move forward with the specifications and <br /> include the repairs and painting of the rotunda. <br /> Loren stated there will be some damage when the system is installed and this will allow them to <br /> repair it to the original condition. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Loren stated that they will be changing the lights in the board this week. <br /> 5 <br />
