10:42 a.m. Chair Lancaster called for a 5 minute break. <br /> 10:49 a.m. returned to session. <br /> 9.RANDY SEE JUVENILE DIVERSION - DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING <br /> REQUEST FOR COUNTY BOARD SUPPORT FOR THE COMMUNITY-BASED JUVENILE <br /> SERVICES AID PROGRAM AND THE COMMUNITY-BASED JUVENILE SERVICES AID <br /> ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM THROUGH THE NEBRASKA CRIME COMMISSION - Randy <br /> See Juvenile Diversion Director was present. He stated they're planning to submit applications <br /> for the Community-based Juvenile services aid program and the community-based juvenile <br /> services aid enhancement program. These funds are used to support the programs for juvenile <br /> services. They would be from $197,000 to $200,000. He is requesting support from the county <br /> board to submit these applications. <br /> Lancaster stated she would like to see the number of juveniles that have been in the programs. <br /> She stated that what they do for the juveniles is amazing and she has talked to people out of <br /> state that do not have these programs and shared the Hall County Juvenile program. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to support the request for support for the <br /> juvenile services programs. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt ask if the dollars have been the same and Randy stated the funding has been stable. <br /> He also noted that in the past if all of the grant dollars were not used they could be carried over <br /> to the next grant year but they cannot do that now. Lancaster noted that Randy shares the <br /> information if funds have to be sent back. <br /> 10:55 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections Meeting <br /> 11:09 a.m. Recessed the Board of Corrections meeting for the jail tour <br /> 11. C) PUBLIC WORK UPDATES AMICK ACRES DRAINAGE PROJECT <br /> Steve Riehle provided a power point regarding this and noted the proposed work. <br /> • Additional survey work including property <br /> • Refining scope and design of project <br /> • Discussions on property acquisition <br /> • Scheduling Hall County Work and estimating const5ucion schedule for Amick <br /> Project <br /> • Hoping for a mild winter <br /> • Work has to be done to be able to provide flood protection for Amick Acres in <br /> spring 2020 <br /> He showed maps of the proposed project. <br /> RIGHT OF WAY DISCUSSION <br /> • The home owners association officers have talked to landowners and have <br /> verbally agreed on price <br /> • County surveyor will survey properties when they do additional surveys for <br /> engineering design work <br /> • HOA will work with attorney to prepare deeds <br />
