Motion carried F) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING CONTRACT FROM CANNON MOSS BRYGGER FOR EGRESS EXITING FROM 3RD FLOOR OF COURTHOUSE — Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the chair to sign the AlA agreement for the Courthouse egress system. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried Lancaster stated that she would like to talk to Mr. Fred Hotz regarding this issue and expressed concern that now they want to have the county install the sprinkler system and the outside egress. Mr. Humphrey stated he will contact him and have him come to the next board meeting to answer questions. Mr. Hurst expressed concern that the county needs to look at more space or a new building. Richardson questioned if the county could appeal this to the State Fire Marshall. Peterson ask if Mr. Hotz could come to the next meeting. Mr. Humphrey will contact him. Discussion was held on the painting at the Courthouse and Mr. Humphrey stated they will do this in house. They need to clean the walls and fix the plaster and then will get the painting done. Quandt questioned the issue with the asbestos in the old Health Department Building and there was some discussion to tear down some of the interior walls. Mr. Humphrey stated that if the county keeps the building they need to remove the asbestos. Mr. Quandt stated they need to go out for bids and go from there. Mr. Humphrey stated that the steps at the DHHS building will be replaced and they are working on them today. He also stated that the county will need to address the air conditioning on the north side of the building next spring. He also reported that they are hauling out some of the trees from the park when they have time. 9
