17. APPROVE REGULAR CLAIMS - Lancaster called for any questions regarding the claims <br /> and no one responded. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Hurst seconded to approve the regular claims. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS — Bredthauer stated they had an Extension <br /> Board meeting and they are needing a new member to the board and are taking applications. <br /> She stated there was also a Regional Planning Commission meeting and the board approved <br /> the final plat this morning. <br /> Lancaster reported that she attend the NPERS Board meeting and they reported they have <br /> $15.3 million dollars in assets and investment earnings. There are two boards the investment <br /> board manages the money. There are some accounts that are cash balance and she <br /> encourage everyone to attend a retirement seminar. NPERS has concerns on cyber security <br /> since the Oklahoma issue. They also discussed the use of computers. <br /> NPERS state has concern cyber security article Oklahoma lost millions on cyber security issues <br /> There are concerns on the use of the computers. <br /> 4. COUNTY ATTORNEY — Executive session — Contract negotiations (County Marty Klein <br /> requested this item to be on the agenda 9/16/2019 at 9:08 a.m.) Chair Lancaster ask if this item <br /> could be addressed in two weeks. Mr. Klein stated that this is regarding information from a <br /> vendor for the software he is considering. Discussion was held and Mr. Klein requested that <br /> this be on the agenda in 2 weeks. <br /> DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING JUANA VELASQUEZ RAMIREZ <br /> LITIGATION - Deputy County Attorney Sarah Carstensen sent an e mail to the board regarding <br /> this issue and Kim Dugan read the a mail. She is recommending to refer this to NIRMA and hire <br /> Pam Bourne for the litigation. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to hire Pam Boure with NIRMA regarding the <br /> litigation with Juana Velasquez Ramirez. <br /> The Board received one letter regarding the vacant Weed Control Authorize position and it will <br /> be addressed in 2 weeks. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chair Lancaster called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. <br /> Meeting adjourned the next meeting will be October 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> arl J.
