18. FACILITIES —B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO PROCEED WITH HOUSE <br /> REPAIRS AT HALL COUNTY PARK - Mr. Humphrey stated he received information from <br /> NIRMA on the repairs and he did call 2 companies for estimates. <br /> BAC Roofing for $7,150.00 <br /> Compass General Contractors $8,800.00 <br /> Richardson made a motion and Bredthauer to proceed with the repairs to the Park house with <br /> BAC roofing and have the chair sign. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent. <br /> 18. C) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON REPAIRS TO FEDERAL BUILDING Mr. <br /> Humphrey showed pictures of the limestone on the top of the Federal Building that has water <br /> damage and there are areas where you can see daylight through the sections. There are but 5 <br /> sections that need repairs. He contacted Corner Stone from Omaha regarding the repairs. The <br /> area is on the alley side and he has tapped it off. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Hurt seconded to move forward for information regarding the <br /> repairs to the Federal Building. Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Hartman was absent. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that they have repaired the sidewalk that was broken at DHHS and some <br /> other sections have been replaced. <br /> Lancaster stated that the front steps look great but expressed concert that there is not a railing. <br /> Loran state that the architects stated there is plenty of flat area on the side of the sidewalk that it <br /> would not be necessary. <br /> Loran encouraged the board to look the inside of the building DHHS has painted the entire <br /> interior and they're replacing all of the furniture. It looks very nice. <br /> Bredthauer questioned if the parking lot in the back of the Courthouse could not be repaired. <br /> Loran stated that the dollars to do this are in the budget. <br /> Quandt thanked Loran for keeping the board informed. <br /> Lancaster noted that when she was doing the inventories she met the park superintendent and <br /> Dusty Kenny and he helped with the inventory and knew where everything was it was clean and <br /> organized. <br /> Loran stated that Devon Herbert has volunteered to help with the trees at the park and he would <br /> like to keep him as seasonal help the is a fine person and he just keeps working. <br /> Peterson thanked Steve and Doone and Sheriff Conrad for everything they do these are trying <br /> times for everyone. We have good quality people in Hall County. <br /> 17. PUBLIC WORKS — FLOODING UPDATE - Steve Riehle was present and stated he is still <br /> getting calls there are 2 roads under water. On 1 Road they have an excavator breaking up <br /> debris and working on the blocked culverts. Then they went over to 1 R school. There was a <br /> beaver damn and they broke it up and it was back again on Thursday. There is wildlife are <br /> 9 <br />
