Riehle stated <br /> also that the soft match balances were frozen when the Dept. of Roads created there federal <br /> funds buy back repurchase program, so we got around $600,000.00 in there so we should use it <br /> for this. <br /> Bredthauer questioned what bridges were on list and how they determine which ones to fix <br /> Lancaster asked Riehle to have a report to come back to the board with showing list of bridges <br /> A motion was made by Hurst to approve working with NE Dept of transportation for consultant <br /> inspection load re-rating on county fracture critical bridges, Bredthauer seconded the motion. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and Peterson voted yes and none voted no. Richardson <br /> and Hartman were absent. Motion carried. <br /> 10E) RECEIVE REPORT ON SALE OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT-Reihle stated the report is a <br /> detailed list of everything the Board authorized as to who got what and where the funds went. <br /> He stated this report is to be done once a year annually. Ron made a motion to accept and <br /> place on file the report on sale of surplus equipment, Karen seconded the motion. Bredthauer, <br /> Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and Peterson all voted yes, with none voting no. Richardson and <br /> Hartman were absent. Motion carried. <br /> 10 F) PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE-Reihle discussed the July 10 flooding in Wood River, he <br /> stated that with the diversion they did let some water thru canal street and by doing that were <br /> able to keep water in just the street, water never did reach Alda . There are currently still six <br /> roads under water up on St. Paul road and north of Airport. <br /> Reihle stated some work being done patching some roads in Meadow Lane sub and Engleman <br /> and North of Hwy two, airport rd and husker hwy. <br /> Reihle stated he had some calls on drainage issues and has been working with NRD north of <br /> North road and airport Rd there is a farmer who has an aggregate in river for pivots, he stated <br /> they have right to remove but will like to have conversation with the farmer first. <br /> Bredthauer asked what is happening with the $7,960.00 we did for JEO consulting on 70th rd <br /> and bridge replacement, she asked if we got wetlands figured out or any reports, she stated this <br /> was January it is now July ,she also asked about the $36,000 spent for Sky Park bridge <br /> replacement north of Chapman rd. <br /> Reihle stated they have draft plans for Sky Park bridge but have not taken them to Olsson's to <br /> address any concerns, and did not receive a wetlands report from JEO <br /> Bredthauer stated she wants to see work taking place on these bridges <br /> 14. EXECUTIVE SESSION SHERIFF CONRAD HALL COUNTY SECURITY ISSUES-was <br /> tabled for 2 weeks, to be discussed at next meeting. <br /> 2. BOE-board decided to recess and meet July 24th at 9:00 am to address the destroyed <br /> properties from the flood. <br /> 10 <br />
