Mr. Woitaszewski presented a slide show showing what composting does and how the <br /> community benefits from it. <br /> Mr. Ditter stated how JBS now does their materials different then what was done in the past, he <br /> mentioned they drain the grease, the odor is not as bad and that they used 3 million dollars to <br /> develop a new way. <br /> Mr. Woitaszewski also stated that they use a new method aerobic composting then it will not <br /> stink as bad, because it breaks down small radius in smells. He reassures that he does not want <br /> to screw this up and that he will make sure he is doing everything right. He plans to design <br /> facilities more than what is required. He states that there is a lot on the line for him and he has <br /> to do his best. <br /> Jeff Seldon <br /> 1552 Hwy 11 Elba, NE <br /> Mr. Seldon is the manager of Elba's landfill and said he would benefit and prosper from <br /> materials. A benefit of having composting facility would be greatly expanding life of the landfills, <br /> and creating more jobs. He believes it is very important to take a step forward and making more <br /> of recycling efforts. Jeff mentioned that the Elba board was in favor. <br /> Megan Jackson <br /> 3800 Vermass Lincoln, NE <br /> Ms. Jackson is the NE recycling council program manager, she is in favor of composting. She <br /> believes wind rowing is the key to managing odor and dust. She stated Andrew is doing the right <br /> thing and has a good plan to meet key targets and efficient economically valuable. She <br /> mentioned there are tight regulations and they are strict on criteria that has to be met. <br /> Ron Woitaszewski <br /> 731 N. 110th Rd. Wood River, NE <br /> Mr. Ron Woitaszewski is the uncle of Andrew but states he is not financially involved in any <br /> way. He stated that anyone involved in livestock, hay, or eat beef are all part of the end product, <br /> he noted you can't just dump in your back yard. He noted truckers haul cattle, and feed lots <br /> smell that's just the way it is, no such thing as perfect harmony. <br /> Paul Nozicka <br /> 1127 Kennedy Dr. GI NE <br /> Mr Nozicka stated he had plenty of experience around livestock. He stated that Andrew showed <br /> him a 5 plus years plan and he is doing it correctly and doing it right. He says he is in full <br /> support, he knows this is different from the past, he stated that Andrew as done his research <br /> and he is in favor of. <br /> Lancaster asked for those that are not in support of composting facility to please come forward. <br /> Roger Hanosack <br /> 2299 N.
