HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING APRIL 30, 2019 <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened April 30, 2019 by published call in the County <br /> Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chair Pam Lancaster. <br /> INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Ron Peterson. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Dick Hartman, Butch Hurst, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Ron Peterson Gary Quandt and Jane Richardson also present were Deputy <br /> County Attorney Sarah Carstensen. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chair Lancaster read the notice of open meeting law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION - The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME — Lancaster stated that if anyone from the audience has a <br /> request to reserve time to come forwards and Jill Hornady requested to address item #10. <br /> 5. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING BID FOR CAAP ALFALFA LEASE — Hall <br /> County received the bids for the CAAP Alfalfa lease and the bid from Ivan Hongsermeier and <br /> Alfred and Jordan Marvicka were tied. After research Deputy County Attorney Sarah <br /> Carstensen stated there were not statutes addressing this issue so it was decided to draw the <br /> highest card to determine the winner. Sheriff Rick Conrad held the cards and each party drew. <br /> Mr. Ivan Hongsermeier drew the highest card and he was awarded the bid. He signed the lease <br /> agreement and paid the first year rent of $7,500.00 <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the <br /> following by consent agenda. <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the April 16, 2019 meeting <br /> 2. 11b Set the public hearing for Mid Nebraska Aggregate for May 28, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. <br /> 3. 13a Approved Resolution #19-051 For additional appropriations for the Hall County <br /> Election Commissioner for $1,400.00 for election salaries an, $2,600.00 for voting <br /> supplies and $3,300.00 for training <br /> 4. 13b Approved Resolution #19-052 for additional appropriations for the Justice System <br /> budget for $150,000.00 for juvenile detention line item. <br /> 5. 19 Approved the final plat and Resolution #19-050 For Meadow View Subdivision <br /> 1 <br />
