HALL COUNTY BOARD OF CORRECTIONS MEETING APRIL 2, 2019 <br /> 10:30 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into a Board of <br /> Corrections meeting. <br /> Present on roll call were Karen Bredthauer, Richard Hartman, Butch Hurst, Pamela <br /> Lancaster, Gary Quandt, Ron Peterson and Jane Richardson. Also present were <br /> County Deputy Attorney Sarah Carstensen and County Attorney Marty Klein. <br /> Corrections Director Todd Bahensky. <br /> CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chair Lancaster <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chair Lancaster read the notice of open meeting <br /> law. <br /> VERIFY AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION — The affidavit of publication was received. <br /> MINUTES OF MEETING — Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to <br /> approve the minutes of the March 5, 2019 meeting. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION —Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> CORRECTIONS DIRECTOR'S REPORT — Corrections Director Todd Bahensky stated <br /> They are currently at 289, 75 ICE inmates, 14 US Marshall inmates, 6 out of county and <br /> the local inmates are at 194 and there are 18 probation sanctions. There are no state <br /> inmates. Todd stated the judges are hold people on bonds. <br /> Mr. Bahensky reported that the fence has been completed the gate is in and they are <br /> working on getting power to the gate. They placed a small island with an intercom for <br /> the employees. He stated that he has an employee with experience running concrete <br /> and that has helped with these projects. He also has an employee with electrical <br /> knowledge. Lancaster noted that the Corrections uses the talent of their employees <br /> with projects. <br /> 4. EXECUTIVE SESSION PERSONNEL - Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer <br /> seconded to go into executive session regarding personnel. There are two reasons for <br /> an executive session to protect the public interest and to prevent needless harm or <br /> injury to an individual. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:37 a.m. executive session <br />
